Quiet Pilot is built by a small team. There's no ticket portal and no chatbot — your email lands in our inbox, a person reads it, and we usually reply within one business day.

Common questions
The app is downloading something. What is it?
On first launch Quiet Pilot fetches its speech-recognition model so transcription can run entirely on your phone — that one download is the price of never sending your voice to a server. The much larger ~2.4 GB Pro language model is only downloaded if you unlock it; free notes use Apple Intelligence, which needs no download at all. Downloads wait for Wi-Fi unless you allow cellular in Settings.
Which iPhones does it run on?
Quiet Pilot requires iOS 26. Its on-device AI leans on recent Apple silicon, so it runs best on an iPhone 15 Pro or the iPhone 16 family — the devices that also support Apple Intelligence, which Quiet Pilot can use. It still installs and transcribes on older iOS 26 iPhones, but the ~2.4 GB writing model wants a few gigabytes of free memory to run smoothly.
Words aren't appearing while I speak.
Check that Quiet Pilot has microphone permission (Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone). If the transcript appears only after you press Stop, force-quit the app and try again — and if it persists, email us; that's a bug we want to hear about.
Where are my notes stored? Are they backed up?
Notes live in the app's private storage on your iPhone and are included in your normal device backup (iCloud or computer), under settings you control. Nothing is stored on our servers — we don't have servers.
I deleted a note by mistake.
Open Recently Deleted in the app. Deleted notes stay there for 30 days before being permanently removed.
Can I get my notes out of the app?
Yes — you're never locked in. Share any single note as plain text straight from the notes list, or export your whole library as Markdown or JSON from Settings.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund for Quiet Pilot. Apple decides refunds directly; we can't override them, but if something in the app let you down, tell us anyway — we'd like to fix it.
What’s free, and what does the unlock cost?
Recording and live transcription are free and unlimited, always. The free tier also shapes 3 recordings a week into AI notes, using Apple Intelligence on your device. A one-time $9.99 unlock removes the weekly limit and adds the Pro on-device model (a larger model, better on long recordings). No subscription, ever — pay once and it’s yours, updates included.
